When I was a child, both my sister, Barbara, and I were given organ lessons. In addition, we each were taught a band instrument. My father taught me to play the trumpet. Barbara was given flute lessons. She played the flute through high school. At some point, my father bought her a better flute. Both my father and I taught ourselves to play Barbara's old flute, this student model Bundy. I ended up with it and I still use it from time to time, as a saxophone double mostly.
