||Year Built: 1901
This is the oldest musical instrument I own. My good friend and JPL colleague, Laif Swanson, gave this to me back in around 1995. She had found it in her father's attic. He had evidentially taken it in lieu of cash for some job he had done many years ago and then forgotten about it. I was very happy to get this unique horn. I took it to Rob Stewart and had him put it into working order. Rob replaced the two tuning slides with longer ones to bring the instrument into modern pitch. I, of course, have saved the original slides too.
