Les Deutsch's Brass, Organ & Percussion Sheet Music
In the course of my various musical endeavors, I have speant a great deal of time composing, arranging, and transcribing music in many genres. I have decided, over the years, to make some of this music available to the public. This page has a few examples that can be downloaded directly and used.
On this page, I include music I have composed or arranged for the Caltech Convocation Brass, Percussion and Organ Ensemble. These are pieces that have formed a 50+ year tradition for Caltech commencements and presidential innaugurations. Caltech is a small scientific institute that does not even have a music department. Despite this, Caltech's commencements have some of the best music to be found anywhere for such purposes.
The instrumentation is, generally:
3 Trumpets
2 Horns in F
2 Trombones
Euphonium
Tuba
2 Percussionists
Organ
I have found this instrumentation to result in a big, full sound with pleasing sonic variations. I have included some pieces with choral parts. These were written to incoude the Caltech Glee Clubs or Chamber Singers,

You are even allowed to perform these pieces in public and create recordings (comerical and otherwise) of them - as long as I am credited as the composer or arranger as approriate.
